    FEATURED APP

    Sunk

The national debt is putting us underwater and we get deeper and deeper every single second. Sunk helps keep track and does so with a little humor added in. See how long can you hold your breath and how much dept gets added in that span of time. Just for fun, the app shows what else might be purchased with the dollars accumulated during your record breaking attempt. Note: TakTak Labs is not responsible for any blackouts you may experience while playing with this app.

    Here’s how it works:

    • Review the current national debt and try to remain calm
    • Test how long you can hold your breath
    • See how much debt gets added based on how long you can hold your breath
    • Hit reset or shake your iPhone and a variety of sound effects will put the numbers in perspective

You might not use Sunk every day, but check in once and a while and see just how deep things are getting.

Here is who you are trying to beat:

    • Average person in good health about 2 minutes
    • Sara Campbell: Female world record free dive 314 feet 3:36 seconds
    • Herbert Nisch: Male world record free dive 400 feet 3:58 seconds
    • Tom Sietas: Face down in a pool, 8 minutes 47 seconds
    • David Blaine: After breathing pure oxygen, 17 minutes 4 seconds

TakTak. Who's there?

Simply put, we build mobile applications, widgets and whatever. Our company — which has been around for many, many hours — (actually over 15 years in web technologies and application development) is both an product development company (we build stuff for ourselves) and a services company (we build stuff for others people). We have a full time staff of strategy, creative, user experience, designers and developers ready to take on any assignment.

Where’d we get our name?

  • Tak – A city located in northwest Thailand and also the capital city of the Tak Province.
  • Tak – A recursive mathematical function often used as a benchmark for languages with optimization for recursion.
  • Tak – A character from the animated television series, Invader Zim.
  • TAK – An error detection system for DNA Computing.
  • Tak – The Ukranian word for "yes," Norwegian for "roof", Dutch for "branch" and the Danish for "thank you."

All good guesses but we actually took it from a great tailor in Hong Kong; Tak Tak Tailors (They are nice guys and make a mean shirt).

Got an idea? We'll build it for you.
